The bad news is that we all sin, and that all of
our sins were NOT forgiven the moment we
made Jesus our Lord.
The good news is that Jesus does provide an ongoing way for our sins to be forgiven:
“‘For if you all may forgive men their
trespasses, your heavenly Father will in fact also forgive you’” (Matthew 6:14
TNT).
But, if we don’t continuously do this, our sins remain, and Jesus was also clear about this: “‘But if you all may not forgive men their trespasses, your Father will in fact not forgive your trespasses’” (Matthew 6:15 TNT).
This truth has been stolen from many Christians, but Jesus’ promise of forgiveness of our sins is still available.
